Pressure washing your home in May will have you living in a showplace during the summer months.

May for pressure washing in Pasadena, MD by Extreme Clean Power WashingOh! fragrant is the breath of May
In tranquil garden closes,
And soft yet regal is her sway
Among the spring tide roses. – William Hamilton Hayne, American poet (1856–1929)
This poem paints a beautiful picture. But you’ll notice there is no verse mentioning algae growing on siding. There is also nothing about black-streaked gutters and sidewalks. Actually, the image is of beautiful gardens, likely around a grand old home. In your mind’s eye, you can picture a home that is as clean as the day it was built. We’ll let you cultivate the garden and grow the roses and we’ll pressure wash the home to a clean that makes it look new again.

The Month of May

May is named for the Roman goddess Maia, who oversaw the growth of plants.
May 1 is May Day, which marks the return of spring by bringing in branches of forsythia, lilacs and other flowering shrubs, like azaleas.
In Hawaii, May 1 is celebrated as Lei Day. Leis are wreaths that are often made with native Hawaiian flowers and leaves. Writer Grace Tower Warren suggested May 1 for the date because it coincided with May Day, a celebration also linked to flowers. She coined the phrase, “May Day is Lei Day.” The first Lei Day observance occurred on May 1, 1928. The following year, it was made an official holiday in the territory, since it did not become a state until 1959.
May 4 is now known as Star Wars Day. Fans of the iconic movie series flood social media with memes about “May the 4th Be With You.”
May 5 is Cinco de Mayo (“The Fifth of May”), celebrating the victory of Mexico over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862. Many people celebrate by eating traditional Mexican meals.
May 12 is Mother’s Day! Learn about the history of Mother’s Day.
May 20 is Victoria Day in Canada. This holiday celebrates the birthday of Queen Victoria.
May 27 is Memorial Day (or Decoration Day). This federal holiday is a poignant reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. It’s tradition to post the American flag on this day.

May’s birthstone is the emerald, matching the green grass and leaves that decorate the landscape.
